This Warranty Policy outlines our commitment to you, the original owner, and provides clear guidance on coverage for both brand new and pre-owned electric bikes. We’ve designed this policy to be transparent, fair, and compliant with all applicable U.S. federal and state consumer protection laws .

Research shows that approximately 90% of e-bike brands offer a lifetime warranty on frames for the original owner, while limiting electrical and mechanical components to 1–2 years . Our policy reflects these industry standards while adding unique protections for second-hand owners—a segment often overlooked in the e-bike industry.

3. New Electric Bike Warranty

3.1 Frame and Structural Components

Arc Line Mobility warrants to the original owner that the frame and rigid fork of this new electric bicycle will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner .

Coverage Details:

  • Applies to the main frame, rear triangle, and rigid fork

  • Cracks, breaks, or structural failures under normal use

  • Does not cover paint, graphics, decals, or cosmetic imperfections 

  • Original owner is responsible for all labor and shipping charges connected with repair or replacement 

Registration Requirement:
To activate the lifetime frame warranty, you must register your e-bike on our website within 90 days of purchase . Registration is free and takes less than 5 minutes.

3.2 Electrical Components (Motor, Battery, Controller, Display)

Arc Line Mobility warrants that the electrical components of your new e-bike will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of delivery .

Motor Coverage:

  • Covers manufacturing defects including phase absence, line burn-out, demagnetization, magnetic steel shedding, gear damage, and bearing damage 

  • Does not cover water ingress unless the motor fails to meet IPX5 waterproofing standards 

  • Motor repairs are covered; replacement provided if repair is not feasible 

Battery Coverage:

  • 2-year warranty or 500 full charge cycles, whichever occurs first 

  • Warrants that the battery will retain at least 75% of its original capacity during the warranty period 

  • To maintain warranty coverage, charge the battery to 100% at least once every 2 months during storage 

  • Does not cover damage from power surges, improper chargers, improper maintenance, or water damage 

Controller and Display:

  • Covers manufacturing defects in the electronic control unit and display screen

  • Does not cover physical damage from drops, impacts, or liquid exposure

3.3 Mechanical Components

Arc Line Mobility provides a 1-year warranty on mechanical components including :

  • Derailleur and shifters

  • Cassette/freewheel and chainring

  • Brake calipers and levers

  • Headset, stem, and handlebar

  • Seat post and saddle

  • Pedals

  • Rims and wheel hubs

  • Kickstand and hardware

These components are warranted against manufacturing defects only, not normal wear and tear .

3.4 Suspension Fork

Suspension forks are covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, in accordance with the original manufacturer’s warranty .

3.5 Accessories

Accessories sold separately or included with your e-bike are covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects . This includes lights, racks, fenders, bells, and locks.


4. Used and Pre-Owned Electric Bike Warranty

4.1 Our Commitment to Second-Hand Owners

At Arc Line Mobility, we believe that all e-bike owners deserve quality service and support, regardless of whether they are the original purchaser . Unlike many brands where the original warranty does not transfer to subsequent owners , we offer meaningful protection for used e-bike buyers.

4.2 Standard Used Bike Warranty

When you purchase a used electric bike from Arc Line Mobility, you receive :

4.3 Warranty Transfer Program

If you are purchasing a used Arc Line Mobility e-bike from a private party, we offer a Warranty Transfer Program :

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The original owner must have registered the bike within 90 days of original purchase

  • The bike must undergo a warranty transfer inspection by an authorized Arc Line Mobility service center

  • The inspection ensures the bike is in proper condition and provides peace of mind that the transferred warranty is valid 

Transfer Benefits:

  • Upon successful inspection and transfer, you receive the same warranty coverage as if you had purchased the bike new for the remainder of the original warranty periods 

  • Transfer fee: $75 (covers inspection and administrative costs)

Without Transfer:
If the warranty was not transferred, you should still expect full support for service and repairs from your local authorized dealer, but the costs will be your responsibility .

4.4 Certified Pre-Owned Program

Arc Line Mobility offers a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program for e-bikes we have inspected, reconditioned, and certified:

  • 1-year comprehensive warranty on all electrical and mechanical components 

  • Covers motor, battery, controller, display, drivetrain, and brakes

  • Does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues, or misuse 

  • Includes free technical support for the warranty period


5. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

5.1 Normal Wear and Tear

The following items are subject to normal wear and are not covered under warranty :

  • Tires and inner tubes

  • Brake pads

  • Chains

  • Grips and cables

  • Spokes

  • Saddle

  • Paint, graphics, and decals

  • Cosmetic scratches or non-structural blemishes

5.2 Excluded Conditions

This warranty does not cover defects, malfunctions, or failures resulting from :

5.3 Speed Modification and Tampering

Warranty is immediately voided if :

  • The speed limiter is removed, modified, or bypassed

  • Firmware or software is altered to increase speed beyond legal limits

  • Unauthorized electrical components are installed

  • Motor seals show signs of tampering

  • Battery seals are damaged or show signs of unauthorized opening

5.4 Shipping Damage

Damage during shipping is not covered by this warranty. However, we will assist with claims if :

  • You notify us within 7 days of delivery

  • You provide dated photos of the damaged component and original packaging

  • You noted any immediately recognizable damage on the shipper’s Bill of Lading before signing


6. Voidance Conditions Summary

Your warranty will be voided under the following circumstances :

6.1 Unauthorized Modifications

The warranty is void if the bike has been altered in ways that compromise its structure, safety, or performance, including but not limited to :

  • Aftermarket electrical components (unapproved batteries, controllers, motors)

  • Mechanical alterations (frame, fork, or wheel modifications)

  • Software adjustments (firmware or speed-limit changes)

  • Drivetrain modifications

  • Brake system changes

  • Cosmetic alterations (painting, powder-coating)

  • Use of non-approved accessories

6.2 Improper Assembly

  • Bikes not assembled by a certified bicycle mechanic

  • Damage caused by improper assembly or use of improper tools 

  • Failure to follow instructions in the owner’s manual

6.3 Negligent Use

  • Failure to perform required maintenance

  • Overloading beyond specified weight capacity

  • Stunt riding, jumps, or racing

  • Operation in salt water or corrosive environments

6.4 Battery Abuse

  • Using an unsuitable charger 

  • Storing battery without charging for extended periods (over 2 months) 

  • Physical damage to battery casing

  • Submersion in water


7. Warranty Claims Process

7.1 Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Documentation
Before submitting a claim, gather :

  • Proof of purchase (original receipt or invoice)

  • Serial number of the bike

  • Clear photos or video of the defective part

  • Detailed description of the issue

Step 2: Contact Customer Support
Email info@arclinemobility.com with “Warranty Claim” in the subject line, including all documentation.

Step 3: Initial Assessment
Our technical support team will work with you to :

  • Diagnose the problem

  • Identify potential simple fixes

  • Determine if the issue qualifies under warranty

Step 4: Warranty Determination
If the claim qualifies, we will provide :

  • A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number

  • Instructions for returning defective components

  • Shipping address for returns

Step 5: Replacement Shipping
Once we receive and verify the defective component, we will ship replacement parts at no cost for the parts themselves. The customer is responsible for :

  • Shipping costs to return defective parts

  • Labor costs for installation (unless covered by our labor policy)

  • Shipping costs for replacement parts outside the contiguous United States

Important: We will not replace any covered component under this warranty without first seeing photos or video of the damaged component .

  • Parts purchased separately (not warranty replacements) carry a 1-year warranty


8. Transferable Warranty Details

8.1 Standard Transfer Process

Arc Line Mobility supports warranty transfer for all our e-bikes . The process:

For Sellers (Original Owners):

  1. Before selling your e-bike, contact us at transfers@arclinemobility.com

  2. Provide proof of original purchase and serial number

  3. Request a warranty transfer authorization

For Buyers (New Owners):

  1. Within 30 days of purchase, take the bike to an authorized Arc Line Mobility service center

  2. Pay the $75 transfer fee (covers inspection and processing)

  3. Receive a Warranty Transfer Certificate valid for the remainder of original warranty periods

8.2 Transferred Warranty Coverage

Once transferred, the new owner receives :

  • The remaining balance of all original warranty periods

  • Full service support from authorized dealers

  • Access to crash replacement pricing

  • Technical support and documentation

8.3 Without Transfer

If the warranty is not transferred, the new owner :

  • Is still eligible for service and repairs from authorized dealers

  • Will be responsible for all costs associated with repairs

  • Cannot claim under the original warranty

  • Valid for the duration of your warranty period

  • Requires proof of purchase and serial number

9.3 How It Works

  4. Shipping and labor are your responsibility 

  5. Exact parts/colors depend on current inventory (surprise upgrades can happen!) 


10. Labor and Installation

10.1 Labor Coverage

  • New bikes: Labor costs for warranty repairs are the responsibility of the owner 

  • Used bikes: Labor costs are the responsibility of the owner

  • Defective parts replacement: We cover the cost of the part; you cover installation labor

  • Shipping damage: Labor for repairs not covered

10.2 Professional Assembly Recommendation

While all Arc Line Mobility e-bikes can be assembled by the customer, professional assembly by a certified bicycle mechanic is strongly recommended . Improper assembly or installation voids the warranty .

We recommend:

  • Local bike shops

  • Mobile bike mechanic services (e.g., Velofix)

  • Authorized Arc Line Mobility service centers

10.3 Inspection Upon Arrival

All bikes that have been shipped may arrive with parts bent or out of adjustment. We make no guarantees that brakes, shifters, motor, stem, rims, spokes, derailleur, fork, or any other component will be properly secured and adjusted upon arrival . It is your responsibility to have the bike inspected by a professional before riding.


11. Extended Warranty and Protection Plans

12. State Law and Consumer Rights

TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, ARC LINE MOBILITY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY .

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you .

12.3 Limitation of Liability

THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED IN THIS WARRANTY ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND ARC LINE MOBILITY’S ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. ARC LINE MOBILITY’S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCT, NOR SHALL ARC LINE MOBILITY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT .

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you .

12.4 Lemon Law Distinction

Important: Electric bicycles are generally excluded from state lemon laws that apply to motor vehicles. For example:

  • Utah’s New Motor Vehicle Warranties Act explicitly excludes “electric assisted bicycle” from the definition of motor vehicle 

  • South Dakota’s lemon law similarly excludes “any electric bicycle” from coverage 

This means e-bike warranty disputes are handled under contract law and the terms of this express warranty, not under state lemon law statutes. We are committed to resolving all warranty issues fairly and promptly.


13. Commercial Use Exclusion

13.1 Definition of Commercial Use

Commercial use includes, but is not limited to :

  • Rental fleets

  • Delivery services (food, package, courier)

  • Ridesharing or bike-sharing programs

  • Hotel or resort fleets

  • Any use where the bike generates revenue

13.2 Commercial Use Warranty

  • Standard warranty does not apply to bikes used for commercial purposes

  • For commercial customers, we offer a reduced 6-month warranty on all components 

  • Commercial users must notify us at time of purchase to receive commercial warranty terms


14. International Customers

14.1 U.S. Warranty Only

This warranty applies only to products purchased and operated within the United States (including all 50 states and the District of Columbia) .

14.2 Customers Outside the U.S.

For customers outside the United States, or those who relocate outside these regions after purchase :

  • All shipping costs associated with warranty claims are the responsibility of the customer

  • Duties, taxes, and related costs are the customer’s responsibility

  • Warranty service may be limited by international shipping restrictions


15. Credit Card Chargebacks

If any product purchase becomes subject to a credit card chargeback, and you are still in possession of the product, then this Limited Warranty shall be invalidated until the credit card chargeback has been resolved .
